Programme structure

  • The standard programme is structured over a 2 year period (or up to max. 5 years), with 3 trimesters per year (four months each)
  • The programme is accredited by English accreditation institution the QAA
  • The programme consists of nine subject modules and a final thesis assignment
  • Two subject modules run simultaneously over a 10 – 12 week period
  • Each module consists of approx. 30 hours’ on-site teaching, along with 10 hours’ online support and 120 hours of self-directed study
  • Each module concludes with a written assignment, presentation or exam
  • The programme awards 90 ECTS points, and all teaching and examination is in English

Dissertation Executive MBA

To conclude the MBA study programme, you will produce a substantial thesis assignment. The thesis builds on the Research Methods module, and you may base it on an issue or challenge from within your own company. You may also choose to focus on an area that’s of special interest to you. In this assignment, you must demonstrate the competences and analytical skills you have gained throughout the study programme.


Admission to the Executive MBA programme

To be enrolled in the Executive MBA programme, you should have one of the following:

  • A bachelor degree from IBA or other recognized institution
  • Equivalent study at bachelor level, e.g. HD or HA
  • An equivalent, recognized education

Additionally, two – three years of relevant experience in the business world.



  • The programme costs a total of 149,000 DKK, invoiced over five instalments
  • Initial fee, including the first trimester DKK 41.000,-
  • Subsequent instalments of 27,000 DKK per trimester; each trimester contains two subject modules
